Scar Gel + Vitamin E

Advanced silicone-based care for new and established scars.

30 g tube100 g tube

A topical silicone-based scar-care gel developed to support smoother, softer and less visible scars. Intended for use on fully closed skin following surgery, injury, burns or acne. The formula combines medical-grade silicone components with panthenol, niacinamide, Centella asiatica derivatives, vitamin E and selected soothing ingredients.

Apply only after the wound has fully epithelialised, with no open area, active bleeding, exudate or infection. For external use only.

How it works

The main evidence-based principle in topical scar care is sustained silicone contact over a healed scar. Silicone gels form a thin, flexible and breathable film that helps regulate hydration at the scar surface. With consistent use, this may improve scar softness, flexibility, colour and overall appearance.

The supporting ingredients in this formulation are included to improve skin comfort, barrier support and cosmetic acceptability. Scar Gel should only be applied after the wound has fully epithelialised and there is no open area, active bleeding, exudate or infection.

Key benefits

  • Forms a transparent silicone film over the scar
  • Helps maintain balanced hydration at the scar surface
  • Supports softer and more flexible scar tissue
  • May reduce visible redness, thickness and uneven texture with regular use
  • Dries to a thin film suitable under clothing and, once dry, cosmetics or sunscreen
  • Available in 30 g and 100 g pack sizes

Suitable scar types

  • Post-surgical scars after complete wound closure
  • Healed burn scars
  • Healed traumatic scars
  • Raised or firm scars requiring prolonged silicone care
  • Post-acne scars where the skin surface is fully closed
  • Visible-area scars where a transparent, quick-drying gel is preferred

Directions for use

  1. Ensure the wound is completely closed, clean and dry.
  2. Apply a very thin layer directly over the scar, usually twice daily.
  3. Allow the gel to dry for several minutes before clothing, cosmetics or sunscreen.
  4. Continue regular use for at least 8–12 weeks for newer scars; older or more prominent scars may require longer.
  5. Do not massage aggressively over recently healed tissue.
  6. Use sunscreen on exposed scars to reduce UV-related discolouration.

When not to use

  • Do not apply to open wounds, infected wounds, active burns, mucous membranes or around the eyes.
  • Do not use on skin with ongoing bleeding or exudate.
  • Stop use if persistent rash, swelling, severe itching or irritation occurs.
  • Children, pregnant patients and people with highly reactive skin should use under professional advice where required by local labelling rules.

Expected results

Scar improvement is gradual. Users may first notice better hydration, softness and flexibility. Changes in colour, thickness and visibility generally require consistent use over weeks to months. No topical product can completely erase every scar, and hypertrophic scars or keloids may require specialist treatment.

Frequently asked questions

When can I start using Scar Gel?
Only once the wound has fully closed — the skin surface should be intact with no open area, bleeding, exudate or signs of infection. If you are unsure whether a wound has healed enough, ask your healthcare professional.
How long should I use it for?
For newer scars, continue for at least 8–12 weeks of consistent twice-daily use. Older or more prominent scars often need longer. Scar care rewards patience and regularity.
Can I wear make-up or sunscreen over it?
Yes. Allow the gel to dry to a thin film for a few minutes first, then apply cosmetics or sunscreen on top. Using sunscreen on exposed scars helps reduce UV-related discolouration.
Will it remove my scar completely?
No topical product can completely erase every scar. The aim is to support softer, more flexible and less visible scar tissue over time. Hypertrophic scars or keloids may require specialist treatment.
